SPECIALIST SCAR THERAPY &CLINICAL MASSAGE THERAPY IN SOLIHULL
At Solihull Scar & Massage Therapy, we specialise in advanced scar therapy and clinical massage treatments designed to support recovery, restore comfort and enhance long‑term wellbeing. Our approach blends clinical expertise with exceptional, personalised care.
Scar therapy can begin from six weeks post‑surgery, or when appropriate for your stage of healing. Each treatment is tailored to the individual and may be suitable for a wide range of scars, including Caesarean sections, burns, breast surgery, keyhole procedures, joint replacements and other surgical or traumatic scars.
Our focus is to improve tissue mobility, ease tightness and discomfort where appropriate, and support your recovery with precision and care.
We take a highly personalised, hands‑on approach to musculoskeletal (MSK) concerns, addressing everything from everyday aches and sports‑related injuries to longer‑term issues that affect movement, posture and quality of life.
We also provide specialist support throughout the pre‑ and postnatal period. During pregnancy, treatment can help relieve common symptoms such as lower back pain, pelvic girdle pain (PGP), sciatica, swelling and shortness of breath.
Following birth, our postnatal assessment is tailored to your individual recovery. We address concerns such as neck and shoulder tension from feeding, rib flare, back and hip pain, headaches, abdominal recovery and Caesarean section scars—helping you regain comfort, confidence and ease as your body heals.

SCAR THERAPY
Scar therapy is one of our specialist treatments, supporting recovery from surgery, injury and trauma through advanced, evidence‑informed techniques. We work directly on and around the scar, addressing surrounding scar tissue, fibrotic areas and adhesions within the body. Every treatment is tailored to you and the unique presentation of your scar.
Treatment can help soften, loosen and release scar tissue both around and beneath the scar, encouraging improved mobility between the muscles, skin layers and fascia. Over time, scars may become numb, painful or overly sensitive; targeted therapy can help reduce discomfort and normalise sensitivity.
We treat a wide range of scars, including:
-
Breast augmentation scars
-
C‑section scars
-
Epidural scars (or associated discomfort)
-
Hysterectomy scars
-
Keyhole and surgical scars
-
Joint replacement scars (knee, hip, elbow and shoulder)
-
Plastic surgery scars
-
Trauma scars
-
Burns
-
Mastectomy, lumpectomy and breast reconstruction scars

SPORTS & REMEDIAL MASSAGE THERAPY
Our sports and remedial massage therapy offers a highly targeted, clinical approach designed to address the specific needs of your body. Each appointment is tailored to your condition, combining advanced techniques to support recovery, reduce discomfort and enhance functional movement.
Deep Tissue Treatment
A focused, therapeutic treatment aimed at reducing muscular tension, easing aches and alleviating tightness that builds up within the deeper layers of muscle. This is one of our most sought‑after approaches for restoring comfort and improving mobility.
Postural Assessment & Corrective Advice
A detailed assessment of your posture and alignment, examining how your body moves and functions. We provide personalised guidance on how to correct imbalances, realign posture and strengthen areas that require support.
Injury‑Specific Massage Treatment
Targeted treatment for a range of conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis or golfer’s elbow, plantar fasciitis, sciatic symptoms, frozen shoulder and many other musculoskeletal concerns. Each session is tailored to your presentation and recovery goals.
Pre‑ and Post‑Event Massage
Ideal for clients preparing for a sporting event or recovering afterwards. Pre‑event massage helps optimise performance by preparing the muscles, while post‑event treatment focuses on easing tightness, reducing fatigue and supporting recovery.

PRE & POST-NATAL SERVICES
Pregnancy Massage Therapy
Pregnancy massage is a highly beneficial treatment for both mother and baby. As the body adapts throughout pregnancy, joints, ligaments and internal organs can come under increased pressure, often leading to discomfort and pain.
Treatment can help ease backache, sciatica, SPD, breathlessness, sleep disturbances, swelling/oedema, sluggish digestion and many other pregnancy‑related symptoms.
Regular massage during the second and third trimester may support a smoother, shorter birth experience, reduced discomfort and a lower rate of postnatal complications. It may also enhance breastfeeding success through the natural increase of prolactin.
Natal Check
A natal check provides a detailed assessment of your postnatal recovery following birth.
We examine the postural changes your body has undergone during pregnancy and now postnatally, identifying any physical concerns such as headaches, feeding‑related shoulder tension, hip pain, recovery from PGP and more.
An abdominal assessment evaluates how your diastasis recti and abdominal wall are healing and functioning. We can also identify rib flare and rib angle changes that may have developed during pregnancy.
C‑section Scar Therapy
C‑section scar therapy is a specialised, hands‑on treatment that works on scar tissue, fibrotic areas and adhesions within the body. Each session is tailored to your scar and your stage of recovery.
Treatment helps soften, loosen and release scar tissue both around and beneath the scar, encouraging improved mobility between the muscles, skin layers and fascia.
Over time, scars may become numb, painful or overly sensitive. Targeted therapy can help reduce discomfort and normalise sensitivity.
Massage After Delivery
Postnatal massage can take place from six weeks after delivery.*
Pregnancy brings significant physical and postural changes. While some discomfort may ease after birth, many aches and niggles can continue into the fourth trimester.
My aim is to provide relevant postnatal checks, tailored treatment and practical tools to support your recovery and help you feel comfortable and confident in your body again.
Please note: This is not an internal check. If an internal assessment is required, I can signpost you to the appropriate professionals.

ABOUT US
Choosing the right therapist is about more than qualifications — it’s about finding someone who understands your journey, your goals and the level of care you deserve.
At Solihull Scar & Massage Therapy, we bring together a background in sports and education with specialist training in scar therapy, sports massage and women’s health. Our work is grounded in a hands‑on, evidence‑informed approach designed to support recovery from surgery, injury, pregnancy‑related discomfort and a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
Since 2014, our practice has been built on a passion for movement, rehabilitation and helping people return to the activities that bring them joy. Over time, this has evolved into a specialist focus on scar therapy and postnatal recovery — areas where expert, personalised care can make a profound difference.
As a mother of two C‑section births, I understand first‑hand that recovery does not end when the wound has healed. Scars can influence movement, comfort and confidence in ways that are often overlooked. This personal experience deepens my empathy and enhances the support I offer to clients navigating similar journeys.
Every treatment is tailored to you as an individual — focusing on improving movement, reducing discomfort where appropriate and supporting your recovery at every stage.
I look forward to welcoming you soon.
