PREGNANCY
MASSAGE THERAPY
Pregnancy Massage Therapy
Specialist prenatal care to support comfort, wellbeing and healthy development
Pregnancy massage therapy offers significant benefits for both mother and baby. As the body adapts throughout pregnancy, joints, ligaments and internal organs can come under increased pressure, often leading to discomfort, restricted movement and postural changes. Specialist prenatal massage provides targeted support to ease these symptoms and promote overall wellbeing.
Regular treatments during pregnancy may contribute to a smoother, more comfortable birth experience, reduced pain, and a lower rate of postnatal complications. Enhanced relaxation can also support hormonal balance, including increased prolactin levels, which may positively influence breastfeeding success.
How Pregnancy Massage Can Help
Clinical prenatal massage may assist with:
-
Back ache, sciatica and pelvic discomfort
-
Pelvic Symphysis Dysfunction (PSD)
-
Prolapsed disc‑related tension
-
Improved respiratory function and easier breathing
-
Deep relaxation and improved sleep quality
-
Reduced stress and emotional calming
-
Release of endorphins (“feel‑good hormones”) that benefit both mother and baby
-
Enhanced circulation of essential nutrients to support healthy fetal development
-
Lymphatic drainage to help eliminate toxins
-
Carpal tunnel and tarsal tunnel discomfort
-
Sluggish bowel movements
-
Encouraging the natural release of oxytocin
Acupressure Integration
Acupressure techniques incorporated within the massage may also support:
-
Morning sickness and nausea
-
Breathing difficulties
-
Lower‑back pain
-
Leg cramps
-
Oedema in the feet and ankles
Our prenatal treatments are designed to help you feel more comfortable, balanced and connected throughout your pregnancy.

NATAL CHECK
Postnatal Check
Specialist assessment tailored to your recovery
If you have welcomed a baby within the past two years, we offer a comprehensive postnatal check designed to support your recovery and address the physical changes that may have occurred during pregnancy, birth and early motherhood.
This assessment focuses entirely on you — your comfort, your movement, and how your body has adapted. We look closely at any postural changes, areas of tension and symptoms that may be affecting your daily wellbeing.
What We Assess
Your postnatal check may include:
-
Abdominal assessment, including a gentle check for your tummy gap (diastasis recti)
-
External pelvic floor check to help you understand how the muscles are functioning post‑birth
-
Postural evaluation to identify changes that may be contributing to discomfort
We then tailor your treatment to the areas you need most, which may include:
-
Feeding shoulders and upper‑back tension
-
Lower‑back discomfort
-
Hip pain or instability
-
Sciatica
-
Rib flare or rib‑angle discomfort
-
Headaches
-
And many other postnatal concerns
Our aim is to support your comfort, mobility and confidence as your body continues to heal and adjust.
POST NATAL
MASSAGE THERAPY
Specialist treatment to support comfort, alignment and recovery
Massage after the third trimester can begin from six weeks post‑delivery*. Although many of the discomforts experienced during pregnancy may ease after birth, it is very common for certain aches, niggles and postural changes to continue into the fourth trimester. Specialist postnatal massage provides targeted support to help your body realign, release tension and recover more comfortably.
How Postnatal Massage Can Help
Treatments are tailored to your individual needs and may assist with:
-
Postural changes following pregnancy and birth
-
Aching shoulders from feeding and holding your baby
-
Repetitive strain in the hands and arms
-
Rib flare and rib‑angle discomfort
-
Lower‑back pain
-
Sciatica
-
Hip placement and pelvic alignment
-
Headaches
-
Oedema
-
Improved circulation
-
Relaxation and stress reduction
Where appropriate, diastasis recti can also be checked during your appointment.
Postnatal massage can help you feel more comfortable, balanced and confident as your body continues to heal.

C-SECTION SCARTHERAPY
C‑Section Scar Therapy
Specialist treatment to support healing, mobility and long‑term comfort
C‑section scar therapy is a precise, hands‑on clinical approach designed to work with scar tissue, fibroids and adhesions within the body. Each treatment is tailored to your individual scar and recovery needs, recognising that every postnatal journey is unique.
Supporting Scar Maturation
Scars can take up to two years to fully mature. Engaging with your scar during the early stages of healing can be highly beneficial, helping to support mobility, comfort and healthy tissue formation. At the same time, it is never too late to work with a scar — even decades after surgery, targeted manual therapy may still help improve movement, ease restrictions and support more normal sensation.
How Treatment Can Help
Specialist techniques can help soften and release the tissue surrounding and beneath the scar, encouraging improved mobility between the muscles, skin layers and fascia. Over time, scars may become numb, painful or overly sensitive; clinical therapy can help reduce discomfort and support healthier sensory responses.
Postnatal Massage & Whole‑Body Support
In most cases, postnatal massage is also advisable. Pregnancy and birth can create muscular tension, postural changes and fascial pull that affect comfort throughout the body. Massage can help ease aches and pains, support postural realignment and address secondary restrictions. Where appropriate, diastasis recti can also be checked during your appointment.
When Scar Therapy May Be Beneficial
Scar therapy may help if your scar feels:
-
Raised (keloid or hypertrophic)
-
Rope‑like
-
Stringy or grainy
-
Painful
-
Numb
-
Tight or stuck
-
Newly formed
-
Long‑standing
Our aim is to support your comfort, mobility and confidence as your body continues to heal and adjust.
